Common questions

Can I use NYMRA without an account or internet?

Yes. The journal works offline and does not require an account.

How do I bring over period history?

Use “Bring your history” during onboarding or open Period history later. You can add and edit past periods, review Apple Health menstrual-flow records after granting read permission, or import a UTF-8 CSV file with start_date,end_date,ongoing,flow,note columns. Dates use YYYY-MM-DD; ongoing is true or false; optional flow values are light, medium, or heavy. NYMRA has no direct Flo account integration.

Why is an estimate missing or broad?

NYMRA does not make a next-period estimate without a completed cycle. It uses broader learning ranges with limited history and widens or withholds estimates when the entries do not support a clear result. Tap an estimate’s explanation in the app for more detail. Ovulation and phase dates are estimates, not measurements.

How do I export or delete my data?

Open Privacy Center. You can create JSON and CSV exports, or choose “Delete all local data” to remove the local journal, generated exports, reminders, and encryption key. Copies you already shared elsewhere remain with their destination.

Is this for contraception or medical decisions?

No. NYMRA cannot confirm ovulation, diagnose or treat a condition, or reliably identify days when pregnancy cannot occur. Do not use its estimates for contraception or medical decisions.
