Privacy policy

NYMRA is designed to keep your cycle journal on your device. This policy covers the NYMRA iOS app and this public support site.

What the app stores

If you choose to use NYMRA, the app may store period dates, flow, spotting, symptoms, notes, basal body temperature, LH test results, cervical mucus observations, optional cycle context, reminder and app-lock preferences, and calculated prediction history. These are stored locally in an encrypted journal. We do not operate a NYMRA account, backend, advertising network, or analytics SDK, and the app does not send your journal to us.

Apple Health

Only if you select Apple Health import does NYMRA ask HealthKit for read access to menstrual-flow records. It reads up to ten years of those records and turns them into editable drafts for you to review before saving them in the on-device journal. NYMRA does not write to Apple Health or upload imported records. You can change Health permissions in iOS Settings.

Security and backups

The local journal uses AES-GCM encryption with a key stored in this device’s Keychain. Journal and generated-export files use iOS complete file protection and are excluded from device backups. App lock is optional; NYMRA also hides journal content in app-switcher snapshots. No security measure eliminates all risk, so protect access to your device.

Reminders, exports, and sharing

Reminders are local notifications, and notification permission is requested only when you choose to enable a reminder. Neutral lock-screen wording is the default; detailed wording is optional. JSON and CSV exports are plaintext files created at your request. If you use the iOS share sheet to send an export elsewhere, the destination you choose controls its copy under its own privacy terms. Do not share an export with someone you do not trust.

Retention and deletion

Journal data remains on your device until you edit or delete it. Privacy Center’s “Delete all local data” removes NYMRA’s encrypted journal, prediction history, generated exports, local reminder requests, and device-only encryption key. This cannot remove copies you already exported or shared to another app or service. Uninstalling the app removes its app-container files; iOS controls Keychain lifecycle.

This website and support email

This site has no advertising, analytics script, or tracking cookies. GitHub Pages hosts it and may process ordinary web requests under GitHub’s privacy statement. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, use it to answer your request, and can delete our copy on request. Please do not email period records, exports, or other sensitive health information.

Age and safety

NYMRA is for people age 13 or older. The app is a cycle journal, not a substitute for professional care. Its estimates cannot confirm ovulation, predict an individual chance of pregnancy, or be used to prevent pregnancy.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions or requests concerning a support email, contact osazeokunboca@gmail.com. We may update this policy as the app changes; the effective date above will change with it.
